1913 Auckland Exhibition 1d on pencil addressed small neat cover to England (with address subsequently erased). Cover bears superb 3 February 1914 Exhibition Auckland "C" class cancel, T2d taxe mark in black m/s, T / 20 / CENTIMES. taxe mark & British 2D / I.S. / E. taxe mark h/s in black, also ½d in pencil. The stamp was correctly not cancelled as these stamps were only valid on domestic mail and mail to Australia, however there is no sign of any British postage dues or any other marking.

Main Trunk / 2 October 1934 / Auckland, also bearing similar, but not so distinct, taxe mark struck in black & ½d pair postage dues cancelled later the same day in Auckland. These loose letter covers are unusual in that they have a specific loose letter taxe mark which is infrequently seen.
