The lower 2 rows of this sheet show a delightful green offset, which is not listed by CP. The Type II frame plate was used to print the following 1899 P Dues: ½d, 1d, 2d, 3d & 4d. Cat $6000+. 692 C 1899 4d pair + 2d on overweight, unpaid commercial cover ex 5 DEC 1900 Curacao, Netherlands West Indies to Dunedin, NZ, bearing black T (Taxe) mark boxed by blue crayon, TO PAY / DOUBLE DEFICIENCY h/s & 10d inserted in m/s, 26 JAN 1901 Dunedin "F" class cancels P Dues. On rear are transit cancels of New York & San Francisco. Vendor states: the cover is the highest known taxed letter to NZ prior to WWI & 1 of a few taxed at 10d rate. $1,000.00

Vendor states this cover was paying the single deficiency rate (being for Govt use) for bulk postage & that it would be fair to assess this was a receipt which was a requirement set out in the regulations - if it was requested.
