Hong Kong-Japanese Occupation 1944 reg'd cover, endorsed "Written in English", with 2s, 5s & 20s Japanese stamps cancelled by Japanese Hong Kong 19.4.14 (= 14 April 1944) steel cds & a Japanese Hong Kong GPO registration label, to Shanghai (under Japanese occupation also). Rear bears a Shanghai 17 June 1944 bilingual cogwheel arrival cancel. Both sender & recipient were (neutral) Swiss nationals & as such were not subject to Japanese internment. Scarce mail from one Japanese occupied territory to another. Incl copy of article by David Smitham.
