Letter dated Strasburg 25 Oct to clockmaker in Hull via Calais & London (receiving marks). Backstamp of Heath, Furse & Co, London, who were continental merchants who conveyed papers to/from France. Absent French stamps 1d, GB affixed by them for onward transmission.
