Many nice scenes (either printed or "real photo" type), some rarely seen, incl 1908-9 "World Sculling Championship" (held on Wanganui River, 5 diff), fire station RP, YMCA RPs x 2, St Johns railway station (superb), art gallery, museum, orphanage, hospital, nurses' home, schools, courthouse, racecourse grandstand, many street scenes, hockey teams RPs x 2, tea kiosk at Castlecliff, river steamers, Maori settlements, Pipiriki, Jerusalem, The Houseboat, etc. Noted cards published by S.C. Smith, Aldersley, Radcliffe, Denton etc. Generally good to fine condition. Also (in separate packet): 18 items of Wanganui historical ephemera [incl 19th century photo portrait cards by Partington (1), Martin (1), 2 diff concertina-style colour view booklets publ Tanner Bros c1920s, 3 1960s school badges, etc]. Plus large bundle of more modern (1980s-2000s) items re Wanganui history (newspaper cuttings, leaflets, repro photos etc). In carton. Ex Ray Staal. Weight 6kg.
