406 C 1898 1d Taupo horiz pair on FDC cancelled Invercargill F-class squared circle 5 AP 98 cds, addressed to Christchurch. With 1971 note concerning the item In "New Zealand First Day & Early Use Covers & Stamps" by Thackery, it is stated that only a total of 3 FDCs for the 1898 Pictorials are known. This is a 4th. The item has always been in the family of the addressee being the great grandfather of the vendor. $2,500.00
