494 E 1940 composite essays x 3 diff designs - 1/3d in purple, 1/6d olive & 1/3d claret with cut out images of issue head design Wilding mounted on raised card produced by Bradbury Wilkinson. Inscribed "As submitted to High Commissioners Office London 12/11/40 For Forwarding to Wellington. This particular set was sent to Mr Jamieson, but as the other one arrived in Wellington, he returned this to us" (note BW printed lower vals but DLR the high vals). A major item of New Zealand GVI philately. $6,500.00
